C3P0 - The End !!

 Here are the final pics of the completed model of C3P0.

First off, I am very impressed with how the designers pulled off this model.

The most striking  aspect is how the droid's signature arched - back stance is rendered with the clever use of internal Technic elements.

Another delightful feature is the fact that C3P0's fingers are individually posable, making the character even more expressive.

I have the 'droid displayed atop the bass guitar practice amp in my music studio, presiding over the goings-on there. His raised hand is formed into the 'rock-n'-roll' sign!

As with all current  Star Wars themed offerings, the set includes a C3P0 info plaque and mini-fig.

Great set!!

C3P0 Build....

Since the end of 2025 is rapidly drawing near, I realized that the C3P0 set build needed to be cleared out of the blog post queue. 

In reality, the build was completed many months ago, but life circumstances were such that typing time on the computer was quite limited.

Typically, my set build posts are uploaded each time a bag of parts is completed, along with a descriptive write-up and a photo or two.

At this time, all I have is photos, so I'll just plop them all on here in order and call it good...

Oops...the pics all appear in reverse order of the build sequence. I don't have time to fix it, so we'll roll with this.

A Quick Build Amongst The Holiday Festivities

 First off, a very Merry Christmas to all of you and your families!

Inside a Christmas gift bag from one of my daughters was this small LEGO set:

I sat down and knocked it together last evening and ended up with a cool miniature of the Millennium Falcon.

My first impulse after completing this delightful 'swooshable' was to give in to the kid in me and hand-fly it around the house making space noises.

In the interest of maintaining my dignity, I opted out of engaging in such an activity...

C3P0, Bag #2

 It's been a while since I've turned in any time working on the build of our favorite Star Wars droid, so last evening I broke open bag two.

This portion of the build features the parts to complete the leg and part of the base attachment assembly. A small amount of Technic material is present here.

I give you a very fine mechanical leg....
